Description

A hearty Cowboy Salisbury Steak combines flavorful beef patties with a rich gravy for a comforting meal that’s easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup mushroom or onion gravy
  • 2 tablespoons flour (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into patties.
  2. Brown the patties on both sides in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Remove patties and set aside.
  4. Add flour (if using) to the same skillet and cook for 1 minute, then gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Stir in gravy and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and cook for about 10-15 minutes until cooked through and covered in gravy. Serve hot.

Notes
