A hearty Cowboy Salisbury Steak combines flavorful beef patties with a rich gravy for a comforting meal that’s easy to prepare.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup mushroom or onion gravy
- 2 tablespoons flour (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into patties.
- Brown the patties on both sides in a skillet over medium heat.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- Add flour (if using) to the same skillet and cook for 1 minute, then gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Stir in gravy and bring to a simmer.
- Return patties to the skillet, cover, and cook for about 10-15 minutes until cooked through and covered in gravy. Serve hot.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a satisfying meal, and store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
