Description

Delightful and nutritious lunchbox ideas for kids this Valentine’s Day, featuring heart-shaped sandwiches and colorful fruit kebabs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices Whole Wheat Bread
  • Nut Butter or Hummus
  • Jelly
  • 3 Strawberries
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Bell Pepper
  • Cheese Slices
  • Parchment Paper

Instructions

  1. Trim the crusts off the whole wheat bread slices. Spread nut butter on one slice and a thin layer of jelly on another. Press together and cut out using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  2. Cut the strawberries and bananas into bite-sized pieces. Thread onto skewers with alternating colors for a fun look.
  3. Wash and slice cucumbers and bell peppers into sticks or fun shapes. Keep these colorful additions separate in the lunchbox.
  4. Cut cheese slices into small squares or fun shapes according to your child’s preference.
  5. Pack the heart-shaped sandwich, fruit kebabs, vegetable slices, and cheese into the bento box.

Notes

Toast the bread lightly to prevent soggy sandwiches. Customize with kids’ favorite spreads and fruits.
