Description

A delightful treat perfect for breakfast or as a snack, filled with the classic flavors of cinnamon and brown sugar.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it, then layer the remaining batter on top and swirl in the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm with butter and enjoy alongside coffee or tea. Can be stored wrapped for up to 3 days at room temperature or a week in the fridge, and can be frozen for up to 3 months.
