An easy and satisfying casserole that combines ground beef, potatoes, and a creamy sauce topped with cheese, perfect for family dinners.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef with the diced onion in a skillet until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Mix the cream of mushroom soup with milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, followed by the ground beef mixture, and half of the cheese.
- Add another layer of the remaining potatoes and pour the soup mixture over the top. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbling.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Consider using a mix of different cheeses for added flavor. This dish is great for leftovers and reheats well.
