Description

This Cheesy Garlic Parmesan Spaghetti is a luxurious main dish that elevates a simple supper to a restaurant-quality meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g (16 oz) spaghetti
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 100 g (1 cup) finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 60 g (4 tbsp) unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions (about 9–11 minutes for al dente). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and olive oil; once melted, add minced garlic.
  3. Sauté the garlic for about 2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, slowly incorporating the grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Gradually add reserved pasta water until the sauce reaches your desired consistency, then stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For extra creaminess, you can add heavy cream. Adjust the tanginess with more lemon juice if necessary.
