  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup whiskey (bourbon or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Whipped cream or ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Place the cubed bread in a large mixing bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, whiskey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the cubed bread, ensuring all pieces are well soaked. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes.
  5. Gently fold in ½ cup of caramel sauce, mixing just enough to create swirls.
