- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup strawberry puree (fresh or frozen, blended smooth)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons strawberry puree
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
- Valentine’s sprinkles
- Freeze-dried strawberry crumbs
- Heart-shaped sugar decorations
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Whisk sugar, butter, and eggs until smooth. Add milk, strawberry puree, and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients to wet and stir just until combined.
- Pipe or spoon batter into donut pan, filling cavities 3/4 full.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until donuts spring back lightly.
- Cool 5 minutes in pan, then transfer to a rack.
- Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth. Dip or drizzle over cooled donuts.
- Add sprinkles or decorations before glaze sets.
