Description
Sweet and Savory Cranberry Glazed Chicken is a delicious dish that combines the tartness of cranberries with savory chicken.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- In a separate bowl, combine cranberry sauce, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and honey. Mix well until fully blended.
- Once the chicken is seared, pour the cranberry glaze over the chicken in the skillet.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and cover the skillet. Let the chicken simmer in the glaze for about 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Occasionally spoon the glaze over the chicken as it cooks to enhance flavor.
- Once cooked, remove the skillet from heat and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley on top for an added touch of color and flavor before serving.
- Slice the chicken and drizzle any remaining glaze over the top.
Notes
- Ensure the chicken is cooked thoroughly before serving.
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
