Description
5-Star Easy Croissant Bread Pudding is a delightful dessert made with croissants and a creamy custard mixture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6–8 large croissants, preferably day-old
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar, fresh berries, or whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in the greased baking dish evenly.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the custard mixture over the torn croissant pieces, ensuring they are evenly coated. Gently press the croissants down to soak up the custard.
- Allow the mixture to sit for about 10-15 minutes for the croissants to absorb the custard.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
- Optionally, dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with fresh berries or whipped cream.
Notes
- Use day-old croissants for better texture.
- Feel free to add nuts or chocolate for extra flavor.
