Description

5-Star Easy Croissant Bread Pudding is a delightful dessert made with croissants and a creamy custard mixture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 large croissants, preferably day-old
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, fresh berries, or whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in the greased baking dish evenly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the torn croissant pieces, ensuring they are evenly coated. Gently press the croissants down to soak up the custard.
  5. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10-15 minutes for the croissants to absorb the custard.
  6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
  8. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with fresh berries or whipped cream.

Notes

  • Use day-old croissants for better texture.
  • Feel free to add nuts or chocolate for extra flavor.
