  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Reese’s peanut butter cups, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until creamy.
  4. Pour half of the chocolate cake batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the batter. Swirl slightly with a knife.
  6. Pour the remaining chocolate cake batter over the peanut butter layer.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups on top.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 20-30 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  10. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
