Pesto Chicken Pizza: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe


Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pizza crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • ½ cup pesto sauce
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to prepare for baking.
  2. If using a store-bought crust, roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. If you’re making your own, prepare the dough according to your recipe.
  3. Evenly spread the pesto sauce over the pizza crust, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  4. Distribute the cooked chicken evenly over the pesto layer.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the chicken and pesto.
  6. Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes and sliced red onion across the top of the cheese.
  7. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
  8. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the top.
  9. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Once out of the oven, sprinkle fresh basil leaves on top.
  11. Allow the pizza to cool for a couple of minutes, then slice it into wedges and serve.
