- 1 pre-made pizza crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- ½ cup pesto sauce
- 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to prepare for baking.
- If using a store-bought crust, roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. If you’re making your own, prepare the dough according to your recipe.
- Evenly spread the pesto sauce over the pizza crust, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
- Distribute the cooked chicken evenly over the pesto layer.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the chicken and pesto.
- Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes and sliced red onion across the top of the cheese.
- Lightly season with salt and pepper.
- Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the top.
- Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Once out of the oven, sprinkle fresh basil leaves on top.
- Allow the pizza to cool for a couple of minutes, then slice it into wedges and serve.
