Old Chicago’s Italian Nachos are a delicious twist on traditional nachos, loaded with Italian flavors and a variety of toppings.

- 1 bag of tortilla chips
- 1 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Layer Tortilla Chips: Evenly spread a layer of tortilla chips on the prepared baking sheet.
- Add Italian Sausage: Distribute the crumbled Italian sausage over the chips, ensuring even coverage.
- Add Pepperoni: Sprinkle the pepperoni slices over the sausage.
- Add Cheese: Generously sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the sausage and pepperoni.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Prepare Toppings: While the nachos are baking, prepare your fresh toppings by chopping green onions and dicing tomatoes.
- Remove from Oven: Once the cheese is melted, remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool for a minute.
- Add Toppings: Drizzle the warm marinara sauce over the nachos and then add the chopped green onions, diced tomatoes, and sliced black olives, if using.
- Garnish: Finish with fresh basil leaves and red pepper flakes for an extra kick, if desired.
- Serve Immediately: Enjoy the nachos while they’re hot and fresh out of the oven!
