Description

Delicious Nutella cookies that are easy to make and perfect for sharing, combining the rich flavor of hazelnut chocolate with a classic cookie texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Nutella (approximately 280300 g)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120130 g)
  • 1 large egg (or 1 tbsp water + 1 tsp baking powder for eggless)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or 1/4 cup white + 1/4 cup brown for chew)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat.
  2. If Nutella is stiff, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes for easier mixing.
  3. In a bowl, mix Nutella and sugar until smooth. Add egg and beat until homogeneous.
  4. Fold in flour, baking soda, and salt just until combined.
  5. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to portion dough into 1.5–2 tbsp balls and arrange on the tray 2 inches apart, flattening slightly.
  6. Chill the formed dough for 20–60 minutes if desired.
  7. Bake for 8–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft. Let cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For uniform cookies, weigh dough portions. Experiment with adding toasted hazelnuts or chocolate chips for additional flavor.
