Description
Delicious Nutella cookies that are easy to make and perfect for sharing, combining the rich flavor of hazelnut chocolate with a classic cookie texture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Nutella (approximately 280–300 g)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (120–130 g)
- 1 large egg (or 1 tbsp water + 1 tsp baking powder for eggless)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or 1/4 cup white + 1/4 cup brown for chew)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat.
- If Nutella is stiff, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes for easier mixing.
- In a bowl, mix Nutella and sugar until smooth. Add egg and beat until homogeneous.
- Fold in flour, baking soda, and salt just until combined.
- Use a cookie scoop or spoon to portion dough into 1.5–2 tbsp balls and arrange on the tray 2 inches apart, flattening slightly.
- Chill the formed dough for 20–60 minutes if desired.
- Bake for 8–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft. Let cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For uniform cookies, weigh dough portions. Experiment with adding toasted hazelnuts or chocolate chips for additional flavor.
