Description

Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers are a fun and delicious twist on traditional burgers, featuring crispy tater tots and cheesy beef patties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 mini burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves (for topping)
  • Sliced tomatoes (for topping)
  • Ketchup and mustard (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crispy, following the package instructions.
  3. Combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix well and form the mixture into small patties, about the size of the mini burger buns.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  5. Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Place one tater tot on the bottom half of each mini bun, followed by a cheesy beef patty, and then add lettuce and sliced tomatoes.
  6. Place the top half of the mini bun on each burger and secure with a toothpick if desired.
  7. Serve the Mini Tater Tot Cheeseburgers with ketchup and mustard on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize toppings to your liking.
  • Ensure the beef is cooked to your preferred doneness.
