Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the green cabbage into eight wedges, keeping the core intact.
- Sear the cabbage wedges in a large skillet with olive oil for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Add the chopped red onion and butter to the skillet, cooking until the onion softens, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and whisk in the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, dried herbs, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Fold in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted into the sauce.
- Nestle the seared cabbage wedges into the sauce, cover, and bake for 45 minutes.
- Uncover the skillet, baste the cabbage with sauce, and bake for another 15-20 minutes until caramelized and tender.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before garnishing with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.
