Description
Juicy Chicken Parmesan Meatballs: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-seasoned)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 jar marinara sauce (about 24 ounces)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Sear each meatball until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once seared, transfer the meatballs to a baking dish. Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are well coated.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the meatballs and sauce.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
