Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 cup fresh jalapenos, diced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed tortilla chips (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, jalapenos, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, reserving a little for the topping.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Spread the sour cream evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Sprinkle the crushed tortilla chips on top, followed by the reserved cheese.
  8. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
