- 14 oz Firm Tofu
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Ginger
- 2 tbsp Green Onions
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Press your firm tofu for about 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Slice the tofu into 1-inch cubes for even cooking.
- Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the tofu cubes for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove tofu from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute.
- Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and toss in the sauce.
- Finish the dish with a sprinkle of sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
