Ingredients

  • 14 oz Firm Tofu
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Press your firm tofu for about 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Slice the tofu into 1-inch cubes for even cooking.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the tofu cubes for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Remove tofu from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute.
  8. Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and toss in the sauce.
  10. Finish the dish with a sprinkle of sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
