Irresistible Caramel Apple Bread Pudding Delight is a rich and creamy dessert that combines the flavors of apples and caramel in a delightful bread pudding.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups of day-old bread, cubed (French or brioche works well)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and diced apples. Toss lightly to mix.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the bread and apple mixture. Gently stir until the bread is well coated. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes to soak.
  5. Pour the bread pudding mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  6. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the top of the bread pudding.
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. A toothpick inserted should come out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 15-20 minutes before serving. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top just before serving.
