- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons truffle oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 small shallot, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Add the finely chopped shallots and sauté until they are translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously to combine with the shallots and garlic.
- Once the cream is heated through, reduce the heat to low and add the crumbled Gorgonzola cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
- Drizzle in the truffle oil, mixing well. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper if needed.
- Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for about 2-3 minutes, thickening slightly.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
