Description

Gordon Ramsay’s Christmas Salmon is a festive dish featuring a citrus glaze and creamy sauce, perfect for the holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin on)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, juiced and zested
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for the sauce)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle the salmon with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary. Arrange lemon slices on top.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, lemon zest, honey, and Dijon mustard. Set aside.
  3. Heat a large oven-safe pan over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets, skin-side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip and transfer the pan to the oven. Roast for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
  4. While the salmon roasts, prepare the sauce. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add heavy cream and whisk until it thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  5. Once the salmon is out of the oven, drizzle the citrus glaze over the fillets and let rest for a few minutes.
  6. Serve salmon with the creamy sauce and garnish with fresh parsley. Pair with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a salad.
