Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Salted butter (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 cup Grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 slices Bread slices (sourdough or hearty white)
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese slices (or your favorite cheese)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the softened butter, garlic powder, dried parsley flakes, grated parmesan cheese, and salt.
  2. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
  4. Place half of the bread slices, buttered side down, in the skillet. Layer on the sliced cheese, then add the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  5. Cook for 4-5 minutes. Carefully flip each sandwich with a spatula.
  6. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until both sides are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  7. Optional: Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping!
