  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well in the flour. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Prepare the Pan: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a deep-dish pizza pan or cast-iron skillet with olive oil.
  7. Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to the prepared pan. Use your fingers to press and stretch the dough to fit the pan, covering the sides.
  8. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on the bottom of the crust. Layer the cooked sausage, pepperoni, and bacon evenly.
  9. Spoon the marinara sauce over the meats, spreading it evenly.
  10. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce. Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder on top.
  11. Cover the pizza with a cloth and let it rise for another 15-20 minutes.
  12. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  13. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  14. If desired, add fresh basil leaves for a touch of color and flavor.
