- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well in the flour. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the Pan: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a deep-dish pizza pan or cast-iron skillet with olive oil.
- Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to the prepared pan. Use your fingers to press and stretch the dough to fit the pan, covering the sides.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on the bottom of the crust. Layer the cooked sausage, pepperoni, and bacon evenly.
- Spoon the marinara sauce over the meats, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce. Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder on top.
- Cover the pizza with a cloth and let it rise for another 15-20 minutes.
- Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing.
