Instructions
- Cut the fish fillets into bite-sized nugget pieces and gently pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, paprika, cayenne pepper, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the milk.
- In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese (if using).
- Dip each piece of fish first into the flour mixture, then into the egg wash, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
- In a frying pan, heat about 1/4 cup of vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Fry the nuggets for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, lemon juice, honey, and a pinch of salt.
- Serve the spicy nuggets hot with the zesty dipping sauce on the side.
