- 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste

- 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing the baking dish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix cream, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the Gruyere and Parmesan cheese over the layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
