Description
Easy & Delicious Crescent Roll Cinnamon Twists recipe.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional, for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons milk (optional, for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll one can of crescent dough onto a lightly floured surface or parchment paper. Gently press any perforations to form a solid rectangular sheet (approximately 8×12 inches).
- Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon; sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
- Cut the dough lengthwise into 6-8 equal strips (about 1-inch wide). Pick up each strip by both ends, hold one end steady, and gently twist the other end 3-5 times to form a spiral. Place twisted strips 1-2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-14 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown and puffy.
- Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool further.
- If adding glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth and free of lumps. Add more milk, a few drops at a time, if a thinner drizzling consistency is desired.
- Drizzle or dip the warm (or cooled) twists in the prepared glaze. Allow the glaze to set slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm!
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Reheat in the oven for best results.
