Delight Guests with a Festive Cream Puff Wreath Treat
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Water
- 400 g Granulated Sugar (Divided)
- 1.5 cups Fresh Cranberries
- 90 pieces Thawed Frozen Cream Puffs
- 18 oz White Chocolate (Melted)
- 16–18 Rosemary Sprigs
- Confectioners’ Sugar (Optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Sugared Cranberries: In a saucepan, combine water and half the granulated sugar. Bring to a gentle simmer and add fresh cranberries. Cook until they soften, then drain and toss in the remaining sugar. Let them dry on a wire rack.
- Melt Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler until it’s smooth and glossy. Stir occasionally to ensure even melting.
- Assemble Wreath: Dip each cream puff in the melted chocolate, ensuring each one is fully coated for the best flavor.
- Create the Wreath Shape: Arrange the chocolate-coated cream puffs in a circular formation on a serving platter. Tuck sugared cranberries and rosemary sprigs in the spaces for a festive look.
- Dust with Sugar: If you like, lightly sprinkle confectioners’ sugar over the assembled wreath for a wintery appearance that makes it sparkle.
- Storage: Keep any unused components in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but remember to wait to add decorations until just before serving for the freshest taste.
Notes
- Use fresh cranberries for the best flavor.
