- 8 slices Thick-cut bacon
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 8 slices Hearty sourdough bread
- 2 cups Cooked chicken breast
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese
- 1 medium Ripe avocado
- 2 medium Tomatoes
- 1 cup Romaine lettuce
- 2 tablespoons Butter

- to taste Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay bacon slices on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, until crispy. Drain excess grease on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix BBQ sauce and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy.
- Lightly butter one side of each sourdough bread slice.
- Place a skillet on medium heat and lay the buttered side of the bread down. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each slice.
- Lay thinly sliced chicken breast on top of the cheese on two of the bread slices.
- Spread the BBQ mayonnaise mixture on the non-buttered side of the remaining bread slices.
- On the chicken-covered bread, layer avocado slices, tomato slices, crispy bacon, and romaine lettuce.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the toppings.
- Top each chicken-loaded slice with the other bread slices, ensuring the buttered sides are facing up.
- Flip the sandwich gently to grill the other side until toasty and golden brown.
- Slice the sandwich diagonally and serve warm.
