Cinnamon Apple Pudding Bake is a delicious dessert that combines the sweetness of apples with a rich pudding-like texture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups peeled and sliced apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well coated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy.
- Fold the coated apple slices into the batter until evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle brown sugar over the top for a sweet, caramelized crust. If desired, add a pinch of nutmeg.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
