Description

Cinnamon Apple Pudding Bake is a delicious dessert that combines the sweetness of apples with a rich pudding-like texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups peeled and sliced apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well coated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy.
  6. Fold the coated apple slices into the batter until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  8. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top for a sweet, caramelized crust. If desired, add a pinch of nutmeg.
  9. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
