Description

Moist and tender chocolate chunk pumpkin bread filled with warm fall spices and melty chocolate. This easy pumpkin bread recipe is perfect for autumn baking, coffee breaks, or a cozy snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 cup Dark chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease or spray a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Blend together pumpkin, oil, egg, and sugar in a large bowl.
  4. Add flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and pumpkin spice. Blend well, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  5. Stir in the dark chocolate chunks.
  6. Spread the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a sweeter bread, use semi-sweet or milk chocolate chunks.
  • Increase pumpkin pie spice or add cinnamon or nutmeg for a bolder spice flavor.
