Description

Magical Chocolate Berry Broomsticks are adorable, no-bake treats perfect for Harry Potter movie nights, Halloween parties, and Hogwarts-themed dessert tables. Sweet berries, smooth chocolate, and crunchy pretzels come together in minutes for a cute, spooky finger food everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1012 fresh strawberries (or raspberries)
  • 1012 mini pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother chocolate)
  • Halloween-themed sprinkles, edible glitter, or crushed cookies (optional for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Wash strawberries thoroughly and dry them completely with a paper towel.
  2. Gently insert one pretzel stick into the top of each strawberry, ensuring the pointed end faces downward.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring well in between, until smooth and fully melted.
  4. Dip the bottom half of each berry into the melted chocolate, letting any excess drip off.
  5. Place the broomsticks onto a parchment-lined tray.
  6. Before the chocolate sets, add sprinkles, crushed cookies, or edible glitter to enhance the look.
  7. Place the tray in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes to let the chocolate harden.
  8. Once they’re set, they’re ready to serve.

Notes

  • Always dry your berries thoroughly before dipping.
  • Use coconut oil or shortening in your chocolate to make it smoother and easier to dip.
  • Don’t rush the chilling time—cooling the broomsticks in the fridge ensures the chocolate sets beautifully.
  • Use pretzel sticks that aren’t too thick; thinner ones keep the balance of texture better and look more realistic.
  • Decorate while the chocolate is still wet so that toppings stick well.
  • You can make these up to 24 hours in advance and store them in the refrigerator.
  • Transport them in a cupcake box or a flat container with dividers to keep them upright and protected.
