Description
Blue Cheese and Steak Pizza: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup blue cheese, crumbled
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- Season the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
- Roll out your pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Evenly distribute the sliced steak, crumbled blue cheese, and red onion on top of the mozzarella.
- Sprinkle the chopped rosemary or thyme over the toppings for added flavor.
- Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone or place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- If desired, drizzle balsamic glaze over the pizza immediately after removing it from the oven.
- Allow the pizza to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing it into wedges.
