Description

Berry Croissant Bake is a delightful and easy-to-make breakfast casserole that combines flaky croissants, mixed berries, and a sweet cream cheese custard.


Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants, broken into small pieces
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup raspberries
  • 1 block (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Evenly spread the broken croissant pieces in the baking dish. Distribute all the sliced strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries evenly on top.
  3. Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add the granulated sugar, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing well until smooth.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the croissants and berries. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 14 hours.
  5. Remove the cover and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  6. Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with syrup.
