Description

This Bang Bang Ground Turkey Bowl is a healthy, high-protein dinner made with lean ground turkey, fluffy rice, crisp vegetables, and a creamy, spicy bang bang sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) lean ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for lighter option)
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine or brown rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • Optional: sesame seeds and fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Prepare rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Add soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until fully browned, about 8–10 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
  5. Add rice to bowls, top with ground turkey, carrots, cabbage, and cucumber.
  6. Drizzle generously with bang bang sauce and garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro if desired.
