Sweet and Simple Apple Pear Jam to Celebrate the Season
Ingredients

- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (about 3 cups)
- 3 medium ripe pears, peeled, cored, and diced (about 3 cups)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 (1.75-ounce) box powdered fruit pectin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 5 cups granulated sugar
Instructions
- Peel, core, and dice the apples and pears into small, even pieces.
- Place in a large saucepan and lightly mash with a potato masher to release juices.
- Stir in lemon juice and pectin until fully combined.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
- Once boiling, add all sugar at once. Stir constantly and return to a full rolling boil for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and skim off foam if needed.
- Ladle hot jam into clean jars, cool completely, and store in the refrigerator or process for canning.
