Description

Crispy, cheesy potato balls made in the air fryer, perfect for snacks or appetizers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2–3 cups chilled, well-seasoned mashed potatoes
  • ½–¾ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Panko breadcrumbs for coating
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for air fryer

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chilled mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, Parmesan, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1–2 tablespoons sized balls.
  3. Coat each ball with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange potato balls in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve immediately with your preferred dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crunch, double coat with egg wash and breadcrumbs. To reheat, air-fry at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
